Our strengths lie in sound strategic planning and our ability to effectively develop and manage the execution of communication projects in markets throughout the United States using teams of local market experts.
With offices in Phoenix and St. Louis, teamworks has extensive experience in the retail, food & beverage, non-profit, and consumer products industries. We develop and coordinate communication campaigns with elements that include:
- communication strategy
- message development
- communication materials production
- radio promotions
- community engagement
- media relations (traditional and social)
- results reporting
A founding member of PRConsultantsGroup (PRCG), a national affiliation of independent public relations consultants (www.prconsultantsgroup.com), we have used PRCG members to provide solutions to national clients, including:
- Make-A-Wish Foundation/Macy’s Believe Campaign
- Cold Stone Creamery
- Relax The Back
- Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority
- Barnes & Noble.com
With each of these clients, we brought together top-notch pros in the markets needed and managed the process from start to finish, freeing our clients to focus on other aspects of their business.
In addition to these national management programs, teamworks has served as public relations counsel for the Phoenix and St. Louis markets of America’s largest convenience store chain, 7-Eleven for the past 17 years, managing local market promotions, including radio promotions, grand openings, and media relations.
Blockbuster is another long-term teamworks client. We have been developing and coordinating radio promotions, producing special events, executing store grand openings, and generating media coverage for them in our markets for more than a decade.
For the past 15 years, teamworks has produced donor newsletters for the St. Louis Area Foodbank, with an average fundraising ROI of 4.4x.
Our pro bono work includes Feed My Starving Children, Mission Africa, Mountain View Lutheran Church, Holy Infant School, and former board membership with the Mid-America Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.
Prior to joining forces as teamworks, Barb and Sharon partnered at a regional public relations agency to develop and manage communication programs for Good Humor/Breyers Ice Cream, including a national media relations campaign to publicize the introduction of 50 new ice cream products at one time, earning a Bronze Quill award. For that same client, we executed a national publicity program for the 75th anniversary of the Good Humor ice cream bar. We also coordinated the introduction of Einstein Bros. Bagels to the St. Louis market, generating more than three million impressions during the one-month campaign.
After graduating from Purdue University, Barb started her career at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide where she worked on the Senior Olympics campaign, the City of St. Louis/City Living program, several Ralston-Purina/ Continental Baking publicity programs, and for various professional services firms.
Sharon is a graduate of St. Louis University and worked for Hill & Knowlton on the Monsanto, Continental Baking, and ConAgra Frozen Food accounts.
